    My little girl

is into everything!  She is unstoppable lately.  And it's amazing how quickly a 14 month old can turn the house upside down in 3 minutes flat.  She's figured out how to open and close every cabinet and drawer within her reach in the kitchen.  Her favorite?  The cabinets we tuned into "hers" with little baking pans, plastic plates and cups for her to play with?  Nope.  It's mommy's candle drawer.

    For you, Angela.

I think I may have been Galileo in my former life.  Ok, clearly I'm kidding.  But I just "happen" to have a Canon 70-200 2.8L IS lying around so I thought what better reason to catch the lunar eclipse.  Ok, I'm kidding there, too.  I rented that amazing lens for a wedding I'm shooting.  Anywho, these were taken right outside off our deck.  It was the clearest night I had seen in awhile.

The last time I saw a total eclipse was about 25 years ago.  I remember it so well.  I was 10 and we were camping at the Muskegon State Park with my cousins Jeri, Char and Marc.  We got in our pj's and Uncle Denny and Aunt Darlene popped some popcorn for us and we went down to the lake to watch it.  It was pretty cool.  And still is.  Now if only my husband would stop singing "Total Eclipse of the Heart" by Bonnie Tyler...

And because the moon is pretty boring to look at.  Same lens, cuter subject.
