Website down...
Monday, April 7, 2008 at 02:14PM The Bliss website is temporarily down. Not sure why, but I'm trying to get to the bottom of it with my webmaster. If you have any questions or need to schedule or confirm your session or order, please contact me directly on my cell or at bliss.photography@live.com. Your patience is appreciated!
We're home.
Sunday, March 30, 2008 at 12:51PM After a long, warm, sunshiny week in Florida, we are finally back home. We had such a great time and really enjoyed ourselves. Our "mission" was to get down to see Grampa Geo in Lakeland, spend some time on the beach, golf, swim, visit the mouse and just plain 'ol relax. Mission accomplished!
We even made time to squeeze in our first "official" family photo session. We were so lucky to hook up with the amazingly talented Anas and Amanda from Heartistic Foto and had our session on the beautiful sandy beaches of Anna Maria Island. Little did we know just how sandy our beach session would be! We can't wait to see how they turned out.
Our first stop was in Charleston, SC. Jeff and I have been there many times and it is one of our favorite places to stay. We both get so swept up in the southern charm with all of it's history, beautiful gardens, haunted cemeteries and everything in between. We could have spent the whole week there, I think.

And now onto the Magic Kingdom. Jillian loved every minute of it and actually froze when she saw Tigger, Darby, Pooh and Piglet in "person" :) It was so cute. Oh, and Jeff got a little creative with the camera, too... I taught him how to shoot in manual, and away he went! Not bad. We may have to work on his comp a little, tho.

Did I mention already that she loved every single minute of it?

Some quality time with Grampa Geo...
And lots of quality time in the pool!

Bye Grampa...We'll see you soon.

The Disney kind, not the rodent kind. Yep. Jillian gets to meet Mickey next week, and do you think she's excited....
Oh yeah, she's excited :)
Photographing kids
Monday, March 17, 2008 at 05:29PM I get so many questions from new clients when it comes to scheduling a session for their munchkins. Will you come to my house? Will you bring a backdrop? And set up lights? Can I put my kid in a bucket? With a boa (the feathery kind not the snake kind)? What if my kid won't smile?
I do my best to explain my shooting style, which summed up is really laid back and usually involves me crawling around on the ground, covered in dirt, pickers, gum you name it trying to get "the" shot of the child in question. Well, I came across this clip and had to share. It's pretty self-explanitory. Enjoy!
