My Life | A new chapter.
Thursday, November 5, 2009 at 03:20PM First let me say (aaaagain) that I'm sorry I've been neglecting my blog. It's not that I don't have anything new to blog, (2 weddings, 4 sessions and a few personal items waiting in the wings!) but my life here at home is just now getting back to normalcy after a whirlwind few months campaigning for my husband's run in the race for Mayor here in Taylor.
I am so happy to report that he WON the election!! And it still hasn't sunk in that I am a Mayor's wife. And when someone asks me what it feels like to be a first lady, (which happens a billion times a day) only one word comes to mind. Wierd. But wierd in a good way.
Nothing is really going to change for us, we're not moving into a mayor's mansion, hiring bodyguards or anything silly like that. But this is simply a new chapter for us, and gives us the opportunity to make our city a better place to live for everyone. I have never been more proud of my husband, Jeff. I always knew he was an amazing man, and now 70,000 people will know it too.
I had my camera with me throughout the day and took a few shots here and there. This one was my favorite. Next to Jeff is our friend, Rocky and he was truly the rock behind Jeff's campaign. This was shot about 20 minutes after the polls closed and after about 20/30 polls reporting, Jeff was up 800 votes. Incredible.
