My Life | Stand by me.
Wednesday, October 14, 2009 at 09:53PM Oh, life is just so busy right now. So, so busy. I've been a little lackluster in my blogging these days, just trying to keep my head on straight and not lose sight of the most important things in life. We are healthy, we are happy. And for that I am very thankful.
My husband is knee deep in campaigning these days as we come into the home stretch of this election. We've been through an election before, but nothing like this. To say it's been challenging would be a huge understatement. We miss him. I miss him. Jillian misses him. But I know it will all be worth it. He is going to win this election and make our city a better place to live for everyone.
But win or lose, this election has made us stronger. I have never been so proud of my husband as I am now. And at night, after we've tucked Jillian into bed and we finally surrender to the business of our day, we cling to eachother as tight as we can. We are overwhelmed yet so thankful for eachother. I am so proud to stand by him, and I'm so thankful that he stands by me.
So this brings me to this post. A friend of mine shared a video this morning on my Facebook, and it moved me in so many ways. I've traveled all around the world, and even lived in a Third-world country, so perhaps that moved me even more. But I had to share it here. Everyone needs someone to stand by them.
